Job summary

Terra Contracting, Inc. in Las Vegas is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support engineering and operations by preparing accurate construction drawings, utility layouts, permit packages, and as-built documentation for underground utility projects across Southern Nevada.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience.
• Experience in utility construction or civil/telecom infrastructure preferred.
• Proficient in interpreting drawings, plans, and specs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience preparing as-built drawings is highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and maintain CAD drawings for underground utility construction projects.
• Develop utility layouts, construction plans, permit exhibits, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
• Interpret engineering plans, specifications, field notes, and survey information.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and field personnel to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Revise drawings based on redlines, field changes, and customer requirements.
• Maintain organized drawing files and project documentation.
• Support permitting, project planning, and construction documentation activities.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and material verification when required.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable utility specifications.
• Support multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting project deadlines.
