Job summary

Theuniversityunion is seeking a Drill Operator/Locator in Joplin, MO. The role supports foremen with tracking bores, trenching, and related tasks to complete projects on schedule. Travel is required and a CDL Class A license is mandatory.

Responsibilities include safety briefings, proper PPE usage, and operating equipment efficiently. OSHA certification is preferred along with proven self-motivation and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in tracking bores and fluent in heavy equipment operations.
• Knowledge of terminology associated with boring.
• Attention to detail and initiative to be self-motivated and directed.
• Ability to listen, follow directions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to manage time and work independently or with other team members.
• OSHA Certified.
• Must have a valid CDL Class A driver license

• Locate with accuracy to assist machine operators shooting bores

Summary:

The Drill Operator/Locator position is responsible for assisting the foreman in all aspects of the job for timely completion to include tracking, boring, trenching, pull fiber, install ground boxes, plow, and other assigned duties to complete the job. Travel is required.
