Job summary

Blue Sky Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric is seeking a skilled field technician to inspect and repair underground utility systems. You will diagnose defects, plan safe repair strategies, and perform installations or replacements of pipes and components.

Requirements include experience with excavators/backhoes, a valid driver’s license, OSHA 10, and 3–5+ years in excavation. Company offers a strong benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating/handling mini excavators, skid steers, trench shields, and shoring.
• OSHA 10 / Trenching & Shoring class.
• 3-5+ years in excavation, underground pipe replacement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of underground utility systems to identify defects, leaks, and damage.
• Analyze inspection results to diagnose the cause of issues, such as leaks, blockages, or system failures.
• Develop effective repair strategies and solutions based on diagnostic findings.
• Perform necessary repairs, replacements, or maintenance on underground utility systems, following industry standards and safety guidelines.
• Plan and execute sewer drain & water line replacement projects, including excavation, pipe removal, and installation of new sewer/ water lines.
• Safely operate excavation equipment to dig trenches for accessing sewer/ water lines.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance work.
