Job summary

Jerritt Canyon is seeking an Underground Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to safely maintain and troubleshoot underground mining equipment in a gold operation in Nevada.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel-powered equipment, diagnose systems, read schematics, and work with a safety-focused team to minimize downtime.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in underground mining heavy equipment and be able to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with heavy mobile equipment in underground mining.
• Proficient in diagnosing diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain systems.
• Experience with underground loaders, haul trucks, bolters, jumbos.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on underground mobile equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and drivetrain systems.
• Maintain and repair equipment such as underground loaders, haul trucks, bolters, jumbos.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, braking, and cooling systems.
• Maintain maintenance records and communicate with the team.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in toolbox talks.
