Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking a Supervisor - Mine Development to lead frontline underground mining operations at the Stillwater site. You will translate weekly plans into shift execution, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with maintenance, safety, training, HR, and other functions.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and analytical skills, with a focus on safety, productivity, quality, cost, and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years in underground mining operations.
• Ability to obtain site-required certifications, including explosives qualifications where applicable.
• Strong leadership, planning, and interpersonal abilities to guide crews.
• Analytical mindset to interpret operating data and variance.
• Knowledge of MSHA, environmental, incident-reporting and CBAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline operations for safe, efficient underground mining execution.
• Translate weekly plans into shift assignments and resource needs.
• Monitor compliance, stop unsafe work, and document coaching actions.
• Coordinate with maintenance, safety, training, HR, and other functions.
• Manage plan progress, identify constraints, and communicate priorities.
• Provide real-time coaching and performance feedback to crews.
• Ensure records are audit-ready for safety, production, and timekeeping.
• Direct incident response and emergency procedures when required.
• Complete shift handoffs with accurate safety, production, and cost data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
