Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking an Underground Lineman to install, maintain, and restore underground electrical distribution systems. This role involves working on primary and secondary cables, conduits, transformers, and switchgear while upholding safety and quality standards.

Location: Southaven, MS area; CDL A required; 2+ years powerline experience; strong ability to read drawings and work in challenging weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDL Class A license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in powerline work.
• Working knowledge of underground distribution construction methods and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and remove underground distribution facilities and equipment.
• Install underground cable, conduit systems, transformers, switchgear, conductors, and related electrical equipment.
• Perform cable pulling, replacement, terminations, splicing preparation, testing, fault locating, and restoration activities.
• Operate company vehicles and utility construction equipment including excavators and trenchers.
• Respond to power outages and emergency restoration efforts to safely restore service.
