Job summary

Shelton Energy Solutions LLC in Conroe, TX is seeking an Underground Foreman to lead crews in the construction, maintenance, and repair of underground distribution systems. You will oversee safety, quality, and productivity on job sites, ensuring compliance with building and code requirements.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, 5+ years in electrical services, OSHA 30, and leadership skills. CDL Class A is preferred; willingness to obtain a CDL permit within 60 days.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical services industry required.
  • Complete OSHA 30 Safety Training Program within 90 days.
  • CDL class A license preferred; must acquire CDL beginners permit within 60 days.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; detail oriented.
  • Ability to understand plans/blueprints to ensure projects meet building/code requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all responsibilities of an Underground Class A Lineman.

Summary

The Underground Foreman is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance, and repair of underground distribution systems. Foremen serve as firsthand leaders for their construction crews. Responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of all crew members while completing construction projects for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform all responsibilities of an Underground Class A Lineman
  • Responsible for crew administration and equipment management

Working conditions/Physical Requirements/Travel
  • Working Conditions
  • Work sites are underground in confined space or outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions.
  • All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English.
  • Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling.
  • Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment.
  • Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Requirements
  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as dictated by position.
