Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a motivated Underground Cable Technician to join our drilling crew in Minnesota. This role supports HDD operations, site preparation, equipment operation assistance, drilling fluid management, and pipe installation.

No prior drilling experience is required—just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Outdoor, year-round work with travel to sites, day shifts plus OT, and occasional overnight stays at the company’s expense.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments.
• Willingness to learn technical drilling processes and equipment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Experience with construction or heavy equipment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of receiving and entrance pits for drilling operations.
• Support the drilling crew during pilot hole drilling, reaming, and pipe installation.
• Handle drilling steel, hoses, pumps, and other jobsite equipment.
• Help mix, monitor, and manage drilling fluid (water/bentonite/polymer mixtures).
• Assist with operation of reclaimers, excavators, and other heavy equipment under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
• Follow all safety procedures and communicate hazards to supervisors.
• Perform general labor tasks as needed to support the crew.
