Job summary

Penn State Altoona is seeking an Undergraduate Student Researcher – Fish Behavior to assist with analyzing video recordings of behavioral experiments, review and code fish behavior, and help manage data.

Training will be provided in video analysis methods, behavioral coding, and research procedures; the position is part-time, 4–6 hours per week, at starting rate of $12 per hour.

This role requires completion of EHS and IACUC training; employment includes background checks as per university policy.

- Dr. DePasquale is seeking applicants for part-time job of Undergraduate Student Researcher – Fish Behavior.

Job duties to include:
Assist with research on fish behavior by analyzing video recordings of behavioral experiments. Responsibilities include reviewing and coding fish behavior, organizing and managing data, and assisting with basic data analysis. Training will be provided in video analysis methods, behavioral coding, and research procedures.

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

Has already completed appropriate EHS and IACUC training

Schedule:

• 4-6 hours per week

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $12.
