Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, college administration, or related field.
• Three years of relevant professional work experience.
• Knowledge of counseling theories and student development.
• Knowledge of NACADA best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provides advising for undergraduate and transfer students, assisting with academic, career, and personal options.
• Assists with registration, scheduling, and holds; answers general advising questions.
• Guides course selection to support degree progress and graduation.
• Supports technology tools for advising and student success strategies.
• Keeps up-to-date with higher-education policies and procedures.
• Responds to inquiries and resolves problems related to registration and scheduling.
• Interprets policies to students and parents as well as faculty.
• Coordinates department events and collaborations with other departments.
