Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University’s Jefferson College of Nursing seeks qualified applicants with Med‑Surg nursing experience to join our full-time, 12-month faculty team at the Lehigh Valley Campus in Center Valley, PA. The role focuses on planning, implementing, and evaluating curriculum and student learning across classroom, lab/simulation, and clinical settings.

The ideal candidate demonstrates visionary leadership, strong communication, and enthusiasm for teaching future nurses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing is required.
• Doctoral degree is preferred; candidates without a doctoral degree must be enrolled in a doctoral program.
• Eligible for licensure to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania.
• Med‑Surg experience is required.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of innovative teaching methods, curriculum development, evaluation, and student support.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with faculty for course planning and projections.
• Identify needed resources for program implementation.
• Oversee selection of clinical preceptors and clinical sites.
• Oversee student clinical placement and progression.
• Collaborate with Chair of Programs, Associate Deans, Dean and support services to achieve outcomes.
• Serve as advisor and mentor for students and participate in college activities.
• Engage in scholarly activities and recruitment efforts.
