Job Summary: The College of Education at Eastern Oregon University seeks a part‑time adjunct instructor to teach undergraduate and graduate teacher licensure and certificate programs. Candidates should demonstrate commitment to quality teaching, effectiveness in applying technology to K‑12 teaching, ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, and administration, strong communication and interpersonal skills, background in working with students with needs and barriers, training in Foundations of Education, understanding of planning and assessment and curriculum, and ability to build rapport with students.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in undergraduate and graduate teacher licensure and certificate programs as assigned.
• Prepare instructional materials, deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and assess student learning.
• Use technology to support teaching and learning at K‑12 grade level.
• Collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and administration to support student success.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and education technology.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction.
• Three years of teaching experience.
• Current teaching license.
• Valid work authorization documents.
• Completion of a background check.
• Background check and identity verification as required by federal law.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching or learning through an online learning management system.
• College teaching experience in a K‑12 Teacher Education Preparation Program.
