Instructors teach undergraduate courses, supervise lab work, mentor students, and contribute to course materials. Hiring is on a semester basis, with applications accepted year-round and decisions typically made by spring or summer for applicable terms.

Qualifications

• M.A. in a field related to the course.
• Ph.D. in a field related to the course (preferred).
• Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle.
• Experience teaching lower-division undergraduate courses (100–300 level).
• Experience preparing and presenting lessons, managing homework, exams, and communications.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses.
• Supervise laboratory instruction.
• Mentor undergraduate students.
• Develop new lecture demonstrations.
• Develop and revise peer evaluation tools.
• Develop and maintain course materials, assessments, and records.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and support to students during regular office hours at Spur campus.
