Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring full-time Automotive Mechanics in the Smithtown, NY area. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform diverse undercar services on customer vehicles, including brakes, struts and shocks, while handling inspections and tire work.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• 2 years of automotive repair experience or training, or equivalent.
• Extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs.
• Preferred: state inspection license(s) and ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles.
• Carry out undercar repairs including brakes, struts and shocks.
• Complete state inspections, oil/filters changes, fluid checks and parts replacement.
• Dismount, mount, rotate and balance tires.
