Job summary

Mavis Tire seeks a full-time Automotive Mechanic to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art service centers in the Henrico, VA area. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks, and complete state inspections and routine maintenance.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of experience or training, possess an extensive personal toolbox, and may hold ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and a state inspection license.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent education/experience.
• Have an extensive toolbox of personal tools used in undercar repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of automotive services on customers' vehicles.
• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state-mandated vehicle inspections and routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes.
• Disassemble, remount, rotate, and balance tires as needed.
• Lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds and work in an active shop environment.
