Job summary

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) and LPE Associates have a contracted project in Alaska to conduct Federal Tobacco Compliance Checks. MSG inspectors and underage purchasers will perform non-confrontational checks at local retailers to enforce age restrictions on tobacco sales.

The program requires a Federal credentialed Inspector and a compliant underage participant aged 16–20, with flexible scheduling and supportive onboarding. This is a temporary federal project experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have a valid state ID to verify age prior to performing inspections.
• Must be under the age of 21 when performing any compliance check.
• Complete short online orientation session.
• Access to a car is not needed for the Underage Purchaser.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned tobacco retailers and attempt to purchase designated tobacco products.
• Transfer tobacco evidence to Inspector custody after retailer purchase.
• Support Inspectors with data entry for FDA reporting requirements.
• Willingness to testify in enforcement hearings.

About The Program:

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) and LPE Associates has been contracted to conduct Federal Tobacco Compliance Checks in Alaska. MSG inspectors and Underage Purchasers will perform non-confrontational compliance checks on local tobacco retailers to ensure the sale of tobacco products to underage person(s) is restricted.

Who We Need:

To complete these inspections, we need both a Federal credentialed Inspector and a underage person under the age of 21 to accompany the Inspector for the attempted tobacco purchase. Ideal purchasers will be 16 to 20 years old, have a strong work ethic, and have sufficient free time to complete the assigned inspections with the inspector. This will not interfere with the Underage Purchasers current education schedule.
