Wright Worldwide Inc. is currently seeking professional, dependable Unarmed Security Officers for a Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a flexible security assignment in a large and active church environment, with posts that may be interior or exterior.

Officers may rotate between posts and may patrol by foot or golf cart as needed during services and events. Applicants must hold a Florida Class D Security Officer License, a valid driver's license, and be available Tuesdays at 4:00

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the church campus.
• Work assigned interior or exterior security posts based on operational needs.
• Conduct foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, exits, hallways, stairwells, and other designated areas.
• Conduct golf-cart patrols of parking lots and exterior areas when assigned.
• Monitor parking lots for suspicious persons, vehicles, theft, vandalism, safety hazards, and other unusual activity.
• Monitor entrances and exits and assist with access control.
• Assist church members, visitors, staff, and guests with directions and other reasonable needs.
• Respond appropriately to disturbances, medical emergencies, security incidents, and other situations in accordance with post orders.

UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER

Pay

$15.00 – $16.50 per hour depending on experience and assignment

Job Summary

Wright Worldwide Inc. is currently seeking professional, dependable Unarmed Security Officers for a Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

This is a flexible security assignment in a large and active church environment. Officers may be assigned to work inside or outside the facility depending on operational needs, scheduled activities, and special events.

Assignments may include lobby and reception areas, building entrances and exits, hallways, stairwells and elevators, youth and children's areas, parking lots, exterior areas, fixed security posts, or roving patrol assignments. Officers assigned to exterior or rover positions may patrol by golf cart.

This is not a position where an officer is guaranteed one permanent post. Officers must be comfortable rotating between assignments and working wherever security coverage is needed.

The primary responsibility of the Unarmed Security Officer is to help maintain a safe, secure, orderly, and welcoming environment for church members, staff, visitors, children, families, and guests.

Because this position operates within a church environment, successful candidates must possess both strong security awareness and exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Officers must know how to remain alert and security-minded while interacting professionally and respectfully with the public.

Candidates must be dependable, observant, well-groomed, able to follow post orders, and capable of working independently as well as part of a larger security team.

REQUIRED AVAILABILITY

Applicants must be available to work Tuesdays beginning at 4:00 PM and Sundays beginning at 6:30 AM. Please do not apply if you are unable to meet these minimum availability requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND BE ABLE TO OPERATE A GOLF CART WHEN ASSIGNED

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the church campus
• Work assigned interior or exterior security posts based on operational needs
• Conduct foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, exits, hallways, stairwells, and other designated areas
• Conduct golf-cart patrols of parking lots and exterior areas when assigned
• Monitor parking lots for suspicious persons, vehicles, theft, vandalism, safety hazards, and other unusual activity
• Monitor entrances and exits and assist with access control
• Monitor lobby, reception, hallways, elevators, stairwells, youth areas, and other interior locations when assigned
• Help prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas
• Maintain awareness of activity occurring within and around the assigned post
• Identify suspicious behavior, potential threats, safety concerns, and unusual activity and report them promptly
• Assist church members, visitors, staff, and guests with directions and other reasonable needs
• Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor while remaining alert to security concerns
• Respond appropriately to disturbances, medical emergencies, security incidents, and other situations in accordance with post orders
• Immediately communicate serious or unusual situations to the Site Lead or security management
• Assist with crowd movement and maintaining orderly entrances, exits, hallways, and common areas during services and events
• Remain at the assigned post unless properly relieved or directed by security leadership
• Complete required patrols and checkpoints
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports using the company's guard management system
• Follow all Wright Worldwide and NMOBC post orders, policies, procedures, and security protocols
• Work cooperatively with armed officers, unarmed officers, Site Leads, church leadership, and other members of the security team
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned based on the needs of the property

Qualifications

• Current Florida Class D Security Officer License required
• Previous security experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be capable of safely operating a golf cart
• Must be available Tuesdays beginning at 4:00 PM
• Must be available Sundays beginning at 6:30 AM
