Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) in Houston, TX. You will patrol, deter incidents, monitor access points, and assist tenants with professional customer service. The role emphasizes integrity, reliability, and teamwork within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff following site policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns in a calm, professional manner.
Perform regular patrols of building interiors, exteriors, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and assist visitors, reporting unusual conditions to staff.
Prepare daily activity reports and shift handoff documentation per site rules.
