Enterprise Security Services Corporation seeks dependable Unarmed Security Officers to cover client locations across Newport News, Virginia, and the surrounding Hampton Roads area. You will help protect client sites by maintaining a visible presence, patrolling facilities, controlling access, and reporting incidents.

The role requires strong communication and observational skills, reliability, and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Meet Virginia's minimum age and eligibility for unarmed security work.
• Possess or be eligible to obtain Virginia DCJS security officer registration and training.
• Complete applicable background screening and client-specific requirements.
• Have reliable transportation to Newport News and nearby areas.
• Demonstrate strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods and conduct routine patrols.
• Be able to follow instructions and complete basic written reports.
• Maintain a professional appearance and comply with uniform requirements.
• Be available for morning, evening, overnight, weekend, or holiday shifts.
• Previous security experience, CPR, or first aid certification is preferred but not required for all assignments.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, trespassing, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
• Conduct routine foot patrols of buildings, parking lots, entrances, and property perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and manage visitor entry according to site procedures.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and security equipment when assigned.
• Identify suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security vulnerabilities and report them promptly.
• Respond to disturbances and emergencies using professional communication and de-escalation techniques.
• Coordinate with property management, employees, visitors, and emergency responders when necessary.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handover notes.
• Enforce client site rules and follow company policies and assigned post orders.
• Maintain a professional appearance, reliable attendance, and punctuality throughout scheduled shifts.
