Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for full-time patrol operations in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on unarmed security duties, conducting patrols, monitoring access, and maintaining clear incident reports.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background check, and drug screening. Shifts run 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at a chemical/petrochemical site with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and reporting unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Complete clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
