Job summary

Allied Universal in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Crime Prevention to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and successful completion of background checks and drug testing as required by law.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
