Qualifications

• Must take a pre-employment placement exam.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas to prevent and detect suspicious activity.
• Operate CCTV systems to ensure full coverage of premises.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies per protocol.
• Enforce security policies to maintain a safe on-site environment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify security risks.
• Confront individuals and gather information for restricted areas.
• Document incidents and prepare shift reports.
• Coordinate with law enforcement when needed.

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises through surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Possible duties and responsibilities:

• Monitor assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of suspicious activity.
• Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies while following established protocols.
• Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for all individuals on-site.
• Conduct regular inspections of property and equipment to identify potential security risks.
• Ability to confront an individual(s) and solicit information from them as to why they are in a restricted area/property.
• Document incidents and prepare reports detailing observations and actions taken during shifts.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure effective incident resolution.

Experience:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of conflict management techniques and loss prevention strategies is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance technology and CCTV operation is an advantage.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals in various situations.
