Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Washington, DC. You will monitor, patrol, and control access while delivering quality customer service and upholding company values.

The role emphasizes responding to incidents calmly, reporting activities, and collaborating with site contacts and responders. A background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
