The ideal candidate will hold a state Security Officer certification, be fluent in English, have reliable transportation, a HS diploma or GED, and pass pre-employment drug testing. Shift options include Day and Night, with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain state Security Officer certification, including online application, fingerprints, and background check.
• Reliable transportation year-round.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and visitors
• Access control and physical security principles
• Operate intrusion alarms, detection equipment, and surveillance systems
• Accurate communication of security information and procedures
• Operate entry/egress access control equipment
• Roving foot patrols of interior and exterior areas
• Production of identification badges
• Produce security incident and daily operating reports
• Monitor and respond to intrusion detection systems
• Assist with other life safety duties as identified in post orders and SOPs
• Any other activities as requested by Supervisor/Project Manager.

We are looking to hire an Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Denver, CO. This position reports to the Project Manager.

The Unarmed Security Officer shall provide compliant physical security and protective services in accordance with corporate policies and security and crisis management plans and procedures which may include, but are not limited to, the following general tasks:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and visitors
• Access control and physical security principles
• Operation of intrusion alarms, production, and fire detection equipment, as well as video surveillance equipment operation
• Accurate communication of security information and procedures
• Operation of entry and egress access control equipment
• Roving foot patrols of interior and exterior building areas
• Identification badge process production
• Production of complete and detailed security incident and daily operating reports
• Monitoring and responding to intrusion detection systems
• Responding as necessary to support other life safety duties as identified in post orders and standard operating procedures
• Any other activity as requested by Supervisor/Project Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to complete state Security Officer certification, including the online application process, fingerprints, and background investigation
• Must have reliable transportation during all seasons
• Must fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English
• Must have High School diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and periodic random drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess current City of Denver-issued Security Guard License
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Demonstrated history of safe and successful security operations experience in highly secure facilities

Physical Requirements

• This position requires lifting, standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday, with some workdays being up to 12 hours.
