918 Security LLC is seeking a Security Officer for Gathering Place in Tulsa, OK. You will safeguard guests, enforce rules, and assist park operations to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all visitors and staff.

The role requires excellent communication, observation, and the ability to respond quickly to incidents, with shifts that cover open, mid, and closing hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

This is an in-house/proprietary position that is eligible for benefits and paid time off. The ultimate parent organization of 918 Security, LLC is the George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF). As a Security Officer at Gathering Place, you will provide safety and security to our guests and fellow team members. Providing a secure environment while giving world class guest service to internal and external customers will be the cornerstone of the Security Department. With over 70 acres of outdoor activities, play elements, and inspiring sites to explore, the Gathering Place will be a one-of-a-kind public park for the public to enjoy. Members of the security team will enhance the park experience for all.

Requirements

Essential Functions

• Provide a unique and top-tier level of guest satisfaction by embracing Gathering Place culture as directed
• Uphold and operate within policies and procedures on a continuous basis to ensure safety, efficiency and guest satisfaction
• Be courteous and initiate positive interaction with park guests
• Answer guest questions and provide direction for park elements
• Patrol assigned zones in the park and support areas ensuring security protocol and tasks are completed
• Positively ensure park rules, regulations and law violations are resolved in a manner that aligns with the principles of the George Kaiser Family Foundation and the spirit of Gathering Place
• Identify and report suspicious/unusual events and behaviors
• Report to any park calls the may need security assistance in a timely manner
• Effectively structure and write incident reports and other written documents necessary
• Take direction from key park leaders to include our senior leadership team, Security Manager, Director of Operations and our park Manager on Duty
• Assist local public service personnel as needed to ensure the safety and security of park guest, team members and the general public
• Monitor park and facilities using video camera system, alarms and personal inspection
• Grant remote access to facilities for deliveries and emergency vehicles
• Communicate with emergency services on behalf of the park and communicate vital details
• Provide assistance and direction to personnel calling into security dispatch
• Maintain park protocol logs and daily paperwork
• Using computer-based weather tracking software, observe and report current weather conditions to manager
• on duty and two-way radio users
• Attend scheduled in-service training to maintain and enhance skill level
• Assist in maintaining a high degree of cleanliness and organization to the park and assigned areas
• Assist park personnel as needed
• Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need including open, mid, closing shifts, overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Maintain a professional appearance that meets Gathering Place grooming standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Work environment: while performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions varied from very hot to very cold based on season. The noise level greatly varies based on attendance, programming, and location in park
• Must be able to provide walking patrol of large areas of the park
• Must be able to respond quickly to in park calls and emergencies
• Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time
• The ability to frequently lift 50 pounds individually, and 100 pounds with assistance

Basic Qualifications

• Desire and ability to enhance The Gathering Place brand and uphold Gathering Place values
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have and maintain a valid state’s driver’s license
• Must be able to complete provided CPR training and certification
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use Windows based programs and Microsoft Office
• Must have excellent observation skills and have a strong attention to detail
• Must have the ability to stay calm under stressful conditions and exercise discretion/authority
• Candidate must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) Phase I & II Security License or be able to obtain the license within 90 days of employment by successfully completing all required training, testing, licensing, and application requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a security environment
• Prior guest service or hospitality experience
