Job summary

Inner Parish Security Corporation is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Texarkana. The role includes patrolling assigned premises, observing for security and safety issues, and reporting incidents to supervisors. You will help deter crime and ensure a safe environment for clients and visitors.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to pass a drug screen. Prior security experience is a plus; shifts run 1:30 pm to 11:30 pm with weekly pay at $13.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and random patrols of multiple premises.
• Report security-related incidents, hazards or unusual occurrences.
• Operate emergency equipment and document nightly operations and weekly reports.
• Assist with property protection and access control as needed.

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is recruiting for professional security officers with excellent customer service and security skills to join our highly regarded team in Texarkana .

LICENSED Unarmed Inside GuardPay rate: $13.00 per hour, paid weekly!

Shift Times:

1:30 pm-11:30 pm

-Candidate must have TOPS II or TOPS III.

Prior law enforcement, military and/or 1 year of security experience is a plus. Retirees and Veterans are welcome!

You will help to prevent and deter crime through:Performing both regular and random patrols of multiple premisesReporting any security-related incidents, hazards or unusual occurrencesWhen necessary, performing control proceduresOperating emergency equipmentDocumenting nightly operations and filing weekly reportsInvestigating breaches of propertyYou must meet the following requirements:Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skillsSound communication skillsProfessional presentationAbility to work as a team member and soloWillingness and ability to work to a flexible roster, 7 days a weekReliable transportActive cellphoneAbility to pass a drug screen

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency.
• A Security Officer must be able to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances.
• A Security Officer must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of his/her duties if required.
• A Security Officer must be able to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress against distracting sound background conditions (e.g., machinery, traffic noise, etc.)
• A Security Officer must be able to: Walk, Run, Stand, Climb, Sit.
• A Security Officer must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required.
• A Security Officer must be in good mental health and be able to make decisions instantly on the event of an emergency.
• A Security Officer must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work. Must be able to obtain the status of license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed.
