Job summary

Chesley Brown International is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer for the Downtown Pittsburgh area. You will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff, maintaining a visible security presence and enforcing site policies.

Responsibilities include patrols, monitoring alarms, responding to incidents, and documenting events while delivering excellent customer service. Must be well-groomed with strong communication skills and a valid high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional security or criminal justice training is a plus.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; must be well-groomed and in proper uniform.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Customer service mindset with ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Ability to walk, stand, and/or patrol for extended periods and work in various environmental conditions.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer literacy for report writing and incident documentation.

• Document all incidents and suspicious activity accurately in daily reports.
• Enforce site-specific rules, regulations, and client policies consistently and respectfully.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, and clients.
• Control access to buildings or restricted areas by verifying identification and credentials.
• Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or other concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, clients, and law enforcement when needed.
