Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking entry level and experienced security officers to join our expanding team. We offer full-time and part-time shifts with a 1st shift option and a starting rate of $17.50 per hour.

We welcome applicants who can pass a background check, possess a valid driver's license, and demonstrate strong communication skills. Training and licensing are preferred, with commitment to safety and customer service across sites.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must submit to and pass a background check.
• Previous experience in security preferred.
• Training or licensure in security are preferred.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Ability to work full-time or part-time shifts.
• First shift is available.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Report any facility issues.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with customers and coworkers.
