Responsibilities

  • Monitor and secure assigned buildings, facilities, and property.

  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols.

Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer
Position Summary

Kaipran Services, LLC is seeking professional, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Full-Time Unarmed Security Officers.

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for protecting personnel, property, and facilities while maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment at assigned client locations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, sound judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to consistently follow company policies, post orders, and client-specific security procedures.

No security clearance is required for this position.

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor and secure assigned buildings, facilities, and property.
  • Control access to facilities in accordance with established site procedures.
  • Verify employee, visitor, vendor, and contractor identification when required.
  • Conduct routine interior and exterior foot patrols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, common spaces, and other designated areas.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, security concerns, and policy violations.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and requests for security assistance.
  • Maintain accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, visitor logs, and other required documentation.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and clients.
  • Enforce company and client security rules, policies, post orders, and procedures.
  • Immediately report significant incidents or security concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, management, law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and other emergency personnel when necessary.
  • Maintain awareness of site conditions and promptly communicate unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Protect confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information encountered while performing assigned duties.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor while on duty.
  • Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and prepared to assume assigned responsibilities.
  • Remain at the assigned post until properly relieved when required.
  • Follow all company safety, security, attendance, and workplace policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous security, military, law enforcement, customer service, or related experience preferred.
  • Must meet all applicable state and local licensing or registration requirements for unarmed security personnel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with employees, visitors, clients, supervisors, and emergency personnel.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective during stressful or emergency situations.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to report to scheduled shifts on time.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a security team.
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, post orders, and client procedures.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required by the assigned site.
  • Ability to complete accurate and detailed security reports.
  • Basic computer, smartphone, and electronic reporting skills may be required.
  • Professional appearance and strong customer service skills required.
  • Must successfully complete all company-required onboarding and training requirements.
Site-Specific Security Checklist

Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Access Control
  • Monitor designated entrances and exits.
  • Verify employee, visitor, vendor, and contractor identification as required.
  • Maintain visitor logs and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
  • Issue or track temporary visitor credentials when authorized.
  • Direct visitors to appropriate locations or contacts.
  • Prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted or controlled areas.
  • Immediately report attempted unauthorized access.
  • Follow site-specific procedures for deliveries, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain awareness of individuals entering and leaving the facility.
Patrol Duties
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled interior and exterior patrols.
  • Inspect doors, gates, windows, and other designated access points.
  • Monitor parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, common areas, and surrounding property.
  • Identify suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, or activities.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, damaged property, and unsecured areas.
  • Verify designated doors and access points are secured when required.
  • Document patrol activity according to site requirements.
  • Report unusual conditions or activity to the appropriate supervisor.
Incident & Emergency Response
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, safety concerns, and emergency situations.
  • Assess situations and follow established emergency procedures.
  • Contact supervisors, management, law enforcement, fire, or EMS when required.
  • Assist with evacuations and emergency procedures within the scope of assigned duties and training.
  • Preserve incident scenes when appropriate.
  • Observe and document relevant information regarding incidents.
  • Complete detailed incident reports before the end of the assigned shift when required.
  • Immediately elevate serious incidents through the established chain of command.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports accurately and on time.
  • Document patrols, incidents, unusual activity, and significant interactions.
  • Maintain required visitor, contractor, vehicle, key, and access logs.
  • Ensure reports are factual, objective, professional, and complete.
  • Immediately notify supervision of significant incidents rather than relying solely on written reports.
Professional Standards & Compliance
  • Follow all Kaipran Services policies, client procedures, and site-specific post orders.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client operations and sensitive information.
  • Remain alert and attentive while on duty.
  • Remain at the assigned post unless properly relieved or authorized to leave.
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform appearance.
  • Maintain professional interactions with employees, clients, visitors, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Refrain from sleeping, excessive personal phone use, or other activities that interfere with assigned security responsibilities.
  • Follow the established chain of command when reporting operational or personnel concerns.
  • Participate in required training, briefings, and site orientation programs.
Schedule
  • Full-Time Position
  • Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts may be available.
  • Holiday availability may be required.
  • Schedule and assigned work location may vary based on operational and client requirements.
  • Officers are expected to maintain reliable and punctual attendance for all assigned shifts.
  • Overtime or additional coverage opportunities may be available based on operational needs.
Pay

$23.00 per hour

Overtime and holiday compensation will be provided in accordance with applicable company policy and federal, state, and local wage-and-hour requirements.
