The position reports to TriCorps management and requires vigilance and professional demeanor. Shifts include 2nd and 3rd, with weekends possible.

TriCorps Security is hiring professional and motivated Unarmed Security Officers to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. This role is based in a school environment and focuses on maintaining the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors through vigilance, professionalism, and service.

Applicants must hold a current DCJS Unarmed Security License and demonstrate reliability, strong communication skills, and sound judgment in a school setting. Former law enforcement officers, military veterans, and experienced security professionals are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to school grounds, entrances, and buildings to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Provide a professional and reassuring presence while interacting with students, staff, and visitors.
• Conduct patrols of campus facilities and outdoor areas to deter and detect potential security concerns.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or requests for assistance and follow established protocols.
• Communicate clearly with school staff, law enforcement, and TriCorps management regarding safety issues or incidents.
• Prepare accurate and detailed reports documenting daily activity, observations, and incidents.
• Support emergency procedures and assist during drills or crisis situations as directed.

• Remain alert and observant throughout each shift to ensure proactive awareness of surroundings.
