Job summary

The Osen-Hunter Group is seeking an on-site Unarmed Security Guard in Monahans, TX to monitor access points, patrol facilities, and deter security threats. You will respond to alarms, complete incident reports, conduct background checks, and assist with conflict de-escalation and emergency response, including basic first aid.

Candidates must be at least 18, legally authorized to work in the United States, hold a Texas noncommissioned security officer license and Level II training (preferred),

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Hold a Texas noncommissioned security officer license and complete Level II DPS training (preferred).
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor-vehicle record.
• At least 1 year of security/public safety-related experience.
• Ability to read/write/speak English; bilingual ability desirable.
• Ability to stand/walk outdoors in West Texas conditions.
• Professional judgment, customer-service, de-escalation, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

Unarmed Security Guard (Monahans, TX)

Position Overview

The Unarmed Security Guardwill be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property using a proactive approach and keen observation skills will help prevent incidents and respond effectively to emergencies.

The Unarmed Security Guard position is located and will report daily on-site in the Monahans, TX area.

Duties

• Monitor and control access points using security systems such as access control systems and CCTV surveillance to verify authorized entry.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including indoor and outdoor areas, to identify potential security risks or safety hazards.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by following established emergency response procedures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activity, safety concerns, or security breaches for review and record-keeping.
• Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as needed to ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Assist with conflict de-escalation and conflict management to maintain a peaceful environment.
• Support emergency response efforts by providing first aid, CPR, AED operation, or other first aid procedures when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least eighteen years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess current Texas noncommissioned security officer license and have completed the DPS-required Level II training course and test, preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor-vehicle record.
• At least one year of relevant security, military, corrections, public-safety, industrial, construction, hospitality, or access-control experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform access control, emergency communication, and accurate reporting. Bilingual capability is desirable.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb steps, work outdoors, operate gates, and patrol in heat, cold, wind, dust, rain, and other West Texas conditions.
• Professional judgment, customer-service ability, de-escalation skill, and report-writing competence.

This compensation range is specific to Monahans, TX and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Osen-Hunter, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $28.00 per hour.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
