Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) for a roving patrol in Omaha, Nebraska. This full-time position involves delivering customer service while enforcing site policies and safety procedures.

You will conduct regular patrols, monitor access, respond to alarms, and maintain detailed logs. The role requires 18+, HS diploma, and successful background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen will be required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors according to site procedures, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
