Job summary

Allied Universal in Reno, NV is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Response to protect clients across technology, media, and telecoms. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and document observations with accuracy and discretion.

Daily shifts include 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and rotating hours; you will provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors, enforce site policies, and coordinate with local authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, business areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting emergency services when required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
