Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Protective Services Officer (Unarmed) to support the Clermont Hospital campus. Responsibilities include escorting, patrols, and hazard mitigation to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities extend to policy enforcement, CCTV monitoring, and incident reporting. Requires 1–2 years in security, plus a high school diploma/GED; BLS within 6 months of hire, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Protect patients, visitors, and employees by escorting, patrolling, and mitigating safety hazards.
  • Deter criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property including parking areas.
  • Enforce hospital policies (parking, visitation, drugs, tobacco) and document incidents.
  • Monitor CCTV and coordinate with clinical teams and law enforcement as needed.
