Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking Port Security Officers to protect premises and deter crime. We welcome retirees and veterans; prior law enforcement or military experience is a plus, with training provided for the right candidate.

We offer unarmed positions and various shift options (1st/2nd/3rd shifts, weekends). License assistance for LA Security Guard licensing and training is provided. Join a team committed to service, integrity and commitment.

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is recruiting professional Port Security Officers with excellent customer service and security skills to join our highly regarded team.

-We have immediate job openings and can assist you in the LA Security Guard Licensing and Training process.

-Unarmed available

-Supervising, Foot Patrol and Driving Patrol positions

-For driving positions, candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Driver's License, and have a clean Driving Record.

You will help to prevent and deter crime through:

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency.
• A Security Officer must be able to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances.
• A Security Officer must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of his/her duties if required.
• A Security Officer must be able to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress against distracting sound background conditions (e.g., machinery, traffic noise, etc.)
• A Security Officer must be able to: Walk, Run, Stand, Climb, Sit.
• A Security Officer must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required.
• A Security Officer must be in good mental health and be able to make decisions instantly on the event of an emergency.
• A Security Officer must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work. Must be able to obtain the status of license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed.
• A Security Officer must be able to work outside and not be afraid to get a little dirty.
• A Security Officer must not fear heights or working around water.
• A Security Officer must not be afraid of animals or loud noises.
• A Security Officer must be ok with crossing over water and looking over the sides of docks to verify barge and ship numbers.
