The Ultrasound Technologist performs all general diagnostic ultrasound procedures requested according to the protocol set in the Ultrasound Procedure Manual. Reviews patient charts that are presented for ultrasound procedures in order to give the interpreting physician a clear history of the patient’s condition. In addition, the Ultrasound Technologist schedules procedures, keeps required records, completes quality control checks on instrumentation, and periodically reviews completed cases for quality assurance.

Graduate of a Sonography or Radiologic Technology program. Registry in good standing or Registry eligible by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), American Registry for Radiologic Technologist, Sonography (ARRT (S)) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). If registry eligible must pass the registry within one year of employment. BLS required.
