Job summary

Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT is seeking a Journeyman Registered Ultrasonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures (general and vascular) with minimal supervision. This role collaborates with radiologists, clinicians, and hospital staff to uphold high-quality patient care and meets department goals.

Requires JRCRTE-accredited education and ARDMS or NRTS certification, plus BLS. Preference for 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Ultrasound program accredited by JRCRTE or equivalent education/experience.
• National Certification from ARDMS or National Registered Technologist - Sonography.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 2 years experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic medical sonograms (general and vascular).
• Provide quality patient care and effective communication with patients and staff.

Description

The Journeyman Registered Ultrasonographer is involved with the day-to-day Ultrasound Department operations located within Diagnostic Imaging. The sonographer requires minimal supervision, performs diagnostic medical sonograms both general and vascular, provides quality patient care, and assumes responsibility for all ultrasound services offered. This position works closely and communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, lead sonographer, manager, Radiologists, providers, and all other clinic/hospital staff to ensure the highest quality of care to our patients. The employee will assist the Core Leader in meeting department goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an Ultrasound program accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiologic Technology Education (JRCRTE) or equivalent education/experience.

• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or

• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography.

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years experience.
