Job summary

Brigham City Community Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare network, seeks a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our ultrasound team in northern Utah. You will perform diverse ultrasound procedures and support patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have an AMA-approved radiologic technology program, BLS, RDMS within 6 months, and 1–2 years imaging experience. ARRT is preferred. This PRN role offers opportunities to work across a respected regional hospital system.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RDMS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Graduation from an AMA-Approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT preferred.
• 1-2 yrs radiology/imaging experience preferred.
• Specific experience and training in Ultrasound required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of Ultrasound Procedures and ensure exam protocols provide diagnostic information.
• Maintain knowledge of life-saving techniques and work well under pressure.
• Lead examinations and contribute to teaching student technologists.
• Assess and deliver care appropriate to all ages of patients served.
• Demonstrate ability to obtain and interpret information for patient needs.

In this role

• You will perform a variety of Ultrasound Procedures and are responsible for exam protocols that provide diagnostic information to the interpreting physician.
• You must have a working knowledge of the life-saving techniques and be capable of performing well under pressure.
• You will assume the responsibility for specified examinations and will be responsible for introducing the basics of ultrasound to the student technologists.
• You will be responsible for assessment, treatment of care appropriate to all ages of patients served.
• You will demonstrate your knowledge and skills in obtaining and interpreting information in terms of the patients’ needs.

What qualifications you will need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Graduation from an AMA- Approved school of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT preferred.
• 1-2 yrs radiology/imaging experience preferred.
• Specific experience and training in Ultrasound required
• Certificate, or High School Graduate / GED must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
