Job summary

The Ultrasound Technologist at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters performs and assists with ultrasound examinations under the direction of a Radiologist to support accurate medical diagnosis.

Evaluates image quality, supports inpatient, ED and outpatient imaging, and collaborates with Sedation and Anesthesia for urgent exams. CPR training is required and travel may be necessary as part of duties.

Qualifications

• Proficient in ultrasound techniques and operation of sonographic equipment.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with patients and staff.
• CPR training required or obtained within 45 days of hire.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates ultrasound images for technical quality.
• Supports inpatient, ED and outpatient imaging services.
• Collaborates with Sedation and Anesthesia to schedule add-on/urgent exams.
• Assists and supports new hire orientation and training.
• Ensures customer satisfaction with services.
• Seeks guidance from management for unusual circumstances.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
