Concord Hospital in Concord, NH seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging under supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to professional standards. The role requires ARDMS/ARRT registration or eligibility and NH licensure compliance.
The candidate will educate patients, document procedures, and work with hospital systems to maintain quality care. BLS certification is required, with ARDMS within 2 years of hire; two years of allied health coursework preferred.
Under the supervision of the Director, Chairman, Manager, or Chief, the Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging procedures and related techniques resulting in the interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Follows professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.
Graduate of, or within six months of graduation, a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) with the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Two year course in a patient care related allied health field prior to Diagnostic Medical SonographerEducation preferred.
Registration required: Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (US) or registry eligible OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (S) or eligible.
Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.
Licensure required: Licensed and Certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
Certification required to obtain: ARDMS required within 2 years of hire.
