Under the direction of the ultrasound attending or the Director of Ultrasound and Site Administrator (for non-clinical functions), performs a variety of ultrasound examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Uses independent judgement and initiative to a I described scanning methods for purposes of medical diagnosis.
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Graduate of an approved program in Echocardiography/Ultrasound and demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, physics or diagnostic ultrasound and familiarity with pertinent medical/surgical disease. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification, required.
