Job summary

Saint Luke’s Women’s Health Plaza is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis. The role supports Women’s Health Plaza and two other Saint Luke’s OBGYN clinics in the Kansas City metro area.

The ideal candidate will perform OB/GYN ultrasounds, assist with ultrasound-guided procedures, ensure high-quality images, and maintain thorough documentation. RDMS and BLS are required, with at least 1 year of OB/GYN experience.

Qualifications

• RDMS certification required.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross required.
• Minimum 1 year OB/Gyn ultrasound experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of OB/GYN ultrasounds including anatomy scans.
• Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures as needed.
• Ensure image quality and accurate documentation for radiologist/OBGYN review.
• Schedule and coordinate tests; communicate clearly with patients.
• Maintain organized worksheets and study documentation.

• Monday - Friday; 8am-430pm
• No Nights, No Weekends
• Previous experience performing OBGYN scans including anatomy scans required.

The Opportunity

• Performing a variety of diagnostic OB/GYN ultrasounds, including assisting physicians with ultrasound guided procedures
• Ensuring quality and accuracy of images for interpretation by a Radiologist or OBGYN physician (Varies by clinic)
• Completing worksheets and maintaining proper documentation for each study performed
• Communicating clearly and compassionately with patients
• Scheduling and coordinating tests as needed

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) – Required
• Graduates 2017 or later must also have Associate’s degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Associate or American Red Cross required
• Minimum 1 year experience in OB/Gyn ultrasound
• Reliable, adaptable, and professional
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently
