Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a PRN position to support Women’s Health Plaza and two OB/GYN clinics in the Kansas City metro area. You will perform OB/GYN ultrasounds, assist with ultrasound-guided procedures, ensure image quality, document studies, and coordinate tests.

No nights or weekends; Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Requirements include RDMS, Associate’s degree if graduates 2017+, BLS, 1 year OB/Gyn experience, and strong

Qualifications

• RDMS certification required.
• Associate’s degree required for graduates 2017 or later.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross required.
• Minimum 1 year OB/Gyn ultrasound experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; reliable, adaptable, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Perform OB/GYN ultrasounds and assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Ensure image quality for interpretation by Radiologist or OB/GYN physician.
• Complete worksheets and maintain documentation for each study performed.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients.
• Schedule and coordinate tests as needed.

Job Description Saint Luke’s Women’s Health Plaza is looking for an experienced, caring, patient-centered Ultrasound Technologist to join our team! This PRN position will support Women’s Health Plaza as well as two other Saint Luke’s OBGYN clinics within the Kansas City metro area. Monday - Friday; 8am-4:30pm No Nights, No Weekends Previous experience performing OBGYN scans including anatomy scans required.

The Opportunity

• Performing a variety of diagnostic OB/GYN ultrasounds, including assisting physicians with ultrasound guided procedures
• Ensuring quality and accuracy of images for interpretation by a Radiologist or OBGYN physician (Varies by clinic)
• Completing worksheets and maintaining proper documentation for each study performed
• Communicating clearly and compassionately with patients
• Scheduling and coordinating tests as needed

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) – Required
• Graduates 2017 or later must also have Associate’s degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Associate or American Red Cross required
• Minimum 1 year experience in OB/Gyn ultrasound
• Reliable, adaptable, and professional
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently
