The ideal candidate holds ARDMS certification, an associate degree in diagnostic imaging or sonography, and 5–7 years of ultrasound experience; leadership exposure

Qualifications

  • Certified Sonographer - ARDMS required.
  • Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences preferred.
  • Ultrasound experience with multiple patient populations.
  • Leadership experience 0-1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management with operational oversight, quality improvement, operational flow, performance measurement, and implementation of new practices.
  • Assist in providing guidance to staff, staff scheduling, triage duties, and is a resource to staff.
  • Oversees the coordination of clinical activities for students to ensure they are meeting core curriculum requirements.
  • Demonstrates positive customer service focus by delivering exemplary personal patient contact while executing advanced ultrasound clinical duties.
  • Acts as a liaison between clinical staff, managers, and Radiologists.

Functions include training, mentoring, and evaluating clinical staff; overseeing the coordination of clinical activities for students; coordinating patient care and flow; telephone triage; medical information management; and clinical support for the radiologist. Also performs the duties of a clinical staff member and serves as a role model and resource for departmental staff.
