Job summary

Kadlec Regional Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality sonography and, if certified, radiology X-ray imaging. You will work under FSED Leadership, perform vital signs and basic patient care, and ensure safe, accurate diagnostics in a team-focused environment.

The position is full-time (36 hours weekly) with a variable shift, located in the Kadlec ED, Tri-Cities area. We value professional growth and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology Training Program.
• AA degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
• Certifications (ARDMS/ARRT) required or expected on hire.
• Current BLS certification at hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound and X-ray equipment for diagnostic imaging.
• Ensure patient safety and quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
• Assist in basic patient care tasks (vital signs, wound care, splinting).
• Adhere to department policies and KRMC/Providence guidelines.

Kadlec is offering a $20,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment.

Under the direct supervision of the FSED Leadership, the ultrasound technologist is responsible for operating and providing high quality sonography and X-ray (if Radiology Technologist certified) to patients in a safe manner for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Technologists will also be trained on various patient care activities such as performing vital signs, EKGs, wound care, orthopedic splinting and other duties as assigned. Diagnostic Imaging Supervisors will act on behalf of the FSED Nurse Manager to provide oversight of clinical skills, QAs, competencies, etc. Must present self in a professional manner, work well with a multidisciplinary team, have good communication skills, and adhere to KRMC's policies and Vision Statement.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology Training Program.
• Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited educational institution in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required; If no AA Degree, an equivalent combination of education/experience to that of an AA Degree may be considered or equivalent education/experience.
• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist.
• Upon hire: Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
