Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and support clinical teams. You will provide high quality imaging, assist during procedures, and ensure excellent patient interaction and service delivery.

The role requires staying current with radiology practices, attending in-services, and adhering to NMHS/NMMC guidelines while coordinating workflow to minimize delays and costs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in sonography required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of radiology procedures and equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality/cost effective diagnostic procedures.
• Assists physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested/required.
• Provides excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family members, Physicians, medical staff, and NMMC staff members.
• Attends required in-services, annual review and educational programs.
• Knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Radiological examinations.
• Stay abreast of changes in Radiology.
• Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
• Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues.
• Organize work flow to prevent delays and control cost through appropriate use of supplies.
• All other duties as assigned.
