Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform sonography in accordance with scope, standards, and the organization’s policies and mission.

You will set up and adjust equipment, perform routine and complex studies, and assist physicians in imaging procedures while maintaining safety and quality control. Effective communication with patients and care teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's degree or higher in Science or related field.
• RDMS/RVS or RDMS/RVT or RT(S)/RV(S) combinations with BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust ultrasound equipment and manually maneuver transducers.
• Perform routine and complex studies and assist physician in imaging procedures.
• Recognize structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations; communicate findings to physicians.
• Educate patients about the procedure and equipment to ensure understanding.
