Job summary

UCI Health in California is seeking a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to perform the full range of basic ultrasound procedures. You will prepare patients, operate imaging systems, and ensure accurate documentation while complying with safety and quality standards.

The role requires ARDMS credentials, a formal ultrasound training program, and current BLS certification. You may rotate to different areas of the medical center and will work with both adult and pediatric patients in a team-focused

Qualifications

• ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and/or OB/Gyn and/or Vascular required at hire.
• Second credential in Abdomen and/or OB/Gyn and/or Vascular by end of 6-month probation.
• Must perform inpatient and outpatient exams, and all other ultrasound exams as needed.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school
• Flexibility in scheduling; able to rotate shifts and cover weekends/holidays
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to maintain a pace appropriate to workload and to work well across the Health System
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and operate ultrasound equipment.
• Adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest.
• May rotate to other areas of the medical center.
• Perform exams on adult and pediatric patients.
• Maintain equipment and log reported repairs.
• Rotate shifts and assignments as needed.
• Uphold professional conduct with staff, patients, visitors.
