Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures and produce diagnostic images under Radiology leadership. The role involves direct patient care, documenting findings, and maintaining equipment and safety standards.
The position requires ARDMS/ARRT eligibility or registry completion, with opportunities to learn vascular duplex scans and participate in education and audits.
The ultrasound technologist performs ultrasound procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. May be required to learn to scan vascular exams i.e., venous duplex scans. Will perform direct patient care in a compassionate and timely manner. Under the direction of Radiology leadership, the Ultrasound tech performs duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures in the use of ultrasound for the diagnosis of disease or pathology.

Graduate of an ultrasonography program and are American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry eligible (required)
OR Certification/Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (required)
AND (for both) Advanced modality registration in Ultrasound Technology by one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred, or must obtain within 2 years)
Associates, America Medical Association (AMA) allied health training program in Ultrasound (preferred)
1 year experience as an Ultrasound Tech (preferred)
