Job summary

FlexStaff is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to perform ultrasound exams and aid in patient diagnosis. The role requires the use of non-ionizing, high-frequency ultrasound with independent judgment and collaboration with clinicians.

Responsibilities include patient prep, image documentation, equipment calibration, and reporting findings. RDMS certification and BLS are required, with 1–3 years of experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a vocational or technical school is required.
• Current RDMS certification is required, with ARMDS in AE as applicable.
• 1–3 years of technical ultrasound experience required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for ultrasound exams and position them on the table; explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Obtain imaging and reports for correlation; consult with referring physician as needed.
• Set up and operate ultrasound equipment; adjust settings for accurate results.
• Recognize and report normal vs. pathologic findings; determine need for further evaluation.
